Getting Things Done?

OK....
I read alot of decluttering and organizing blogs...alot!
I think the reason I read these is:
1) to keep motivated(I live in a huge 2 story house)
2) I really want to get rid of things that we don't need
and to keep things in their places.
What I don't care for is the "distressed look"...
I know people in "NEW" houses want this look.
Seems to me...on EVERYTHING....oh well.
Personally...
it "stresses me out"...ha,ha
And this is why...
my house is almost 100 years old and is already "stressed" enough.
It needs some TLC...
Our house has been "lived in"
and is a rework in progress.
BUT...
With that said...
I am very Thankful for a house to live in and a place to lay my head at night.
SO...
I guess I "work on" getting things done.
How about you?
Anything that you "put on your to do" list for the New Year?
Take care
and
 have a Marvelous Monday,
Mommy 2
P.S. I am still thinking on a "new" blog name.

We moved into our house just over a year ago. It was built in 1920 and I'm glad to say it's not too small, but not too big.
We have done quite a bit of painting. We need to measure and carpet our "gym-family room". There is an old door to our basement from the kitchen that has several layers of paint. I need to get it out to the garage and strip it.
The biggest job is to re-tile the shower and floor in our "ghetto bathroom". It is the 50s bathroom off our bedroom. It has significant water damage.
There is a workbench in our basement I intend to paint as well as a shelf that hangs on the wall.
Now that I see it in print, it seems like there is much more to do. Oh well. One thing at a time....Bless you today.........Denise
