A thing we have....but didn't know we needed

Who has a Kindle...Kindle Fire?
Raise your hand (my hand is raised high)

Did you buy it for yourself....
or was it a gift?
 My husband bought it...
but gave it to me.
I actually didn't "know" that I needed one...
until he brought it home.
But they are sooooo handy to use.
I  daily check the free book list.
I have found a few "keeper" books there.
I am kinda picky about what I download to read.
I don't want to read it just because its free....
There other day I downloaded and read a book in one day.
I  thought the book was about a true story...
I found out in the end....it was a true event...but not real people.
(That was kind of disappointing)

OTHER THINGS YOU CAN USE IT FOR:
  •  Reading news and checking weather
  • checking email and facebook
  • google searches
  • playing games(my kids like that)
Let me know what you like about your Kindle....
or what you think about Kindles.
Have a great weekend....
and go read a book(on your Kindle).
I might.
Take care,
Nancy

I have had a Kindle for a couple of years. I love it, but wish I had the Fire so I could do all the stuff you do with yours. Now when I travel, rather than a huge bag of books to pack around, I just take my Kindle and my journal. The Kindle has books for reading, a couple of versions of the Bible, my daily devotional, and lots of lists and documents that I've emailed to myself on it. If I'm flying I'll stick a magazine or something else in my purse to read during the times when the airline requires all electronic devices to be turned off. I can't imagine going back to lugging books around. I use it for most of my reading at home too, and I borrow ebooks from the local library on it so I don't have to purchase so many.

The funny thing is my mom bought me a Kindle a year ago after I told her I didn't want one. That I prefer the feel of real book. Now, I've gone and published a book on Kindle. So, I guess I didn't know I'd need it. :)

I try to put all the good (i.e. clean!) books up on my facebook page. I rarely pay for a book :)

Don't have one. Have not really thought about it cause I love books. But lately, I see lots of people really loving them. Maybe I'll have to revisit this!
